Here at Cricket District we always try to champion the fans who love the game and India's tour of England has ignited two cricket loving worlds.


As the old saying goes when you have a country impassioned by it's love of cricket meeting a self-deprecating nation, the tweets are going to be great.


So let's have a look at some of the best tweets from the England v India tour so far this summer.


Start of the Test


With both sides taking to the field there was an air of uncertainty. The seemingly unstoppable force of England under Bazball meets the immovable object that is India.

India wobble before Rishabh Pant comes to the crease


After a flurry of wickets leaving India at 98-5, Rishabh Pant took matters into his own hands...

...and to finish things off, Bumrah hit a massive 35 off one Stuart Broad over, channelling his inner Yuvraj Singh.

The previous record holder Robin Peterson was more than happy to wave goodbye to his unwanted claim to fame.

England don't start off with the strongest reply


Much like India, England's first innings collapsed to 83-5, but as he has done all summer, Young Jonny Bairstow comes to the rescue with a much needed ton despite some sledging particularly from Virat Kohli.


India set the target


India end up all out for 245 leaving England an enormous target of 378 to win - Indian fans were confident.

England win!


Thanks to another masterclass from both Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow, England chase the total down before lunch on the fifth day.
